Trying Again

Today was basically a reseach day at the American Center of Research (They dropped the "Oriental"). In the meantime ACOR underwent a remodel, so now the library has a separate outside entrance. Since the library and the rest of ACOR is largely separate, there is not the cross-pollenation that I've experienced in the past. On the other hand, there are fewer destractions when I am trying to get stuff done. The new librarian is congenial and very helpful. In the 90s and early 2000s, I sequestered myself in ACOR's darkroom on the weekends. Some would say that farming is a good occupation for philosophers. I contend that working in a darkroom is a close second. It gave me plenty of time to think and write darkroom poetry. In some ways, modern conveniences have made us intellectually and spiritually poorer. For supper, I had a shawarma. They are tasty and cheap. For my money, there is no better shawarma than the stand on the 2nd Circle. Until next time.
